Broadstone, Dorset.
Monday.
My dear Will
I am very hard at work at the book, — getting on well. Hope to finish in a month. I am afraid we are going to be surrounded by buildings as people are in treaty for a good deal of the field all round, & L[or]d. Wimborne has raised his price to £250 an acre. I should much like, if possible, to have another strip on the East side 1 acre or two acres — which would give us a bit more of the [2] most beautiful part of the wood, & probably what I want most, the permanent right of way out to the Poole road. When the book is out I think I can manage 1 acre if they let me have it cheaper. Can you & Violet manage an acre between you, or even half an acre? That would give a good site on the top.
