I now send you my last two books, as a small token of my regard, and of my indebtedness to you both for the trouble you took in so carefully revising the proofs of one of them.
I have already seen about a dozen reviews, showing various amounts of ignorance of the subject, the average verdict so far being — "very interesting — but all wrong". :
