Dear Sir Thiselton Dyer,

I am now sending you a copy of my new book on "Darwinism" etc., in the hope that you may find time during the holiday season to read, or at all events to look over it; and then, if you feel so inclined pass it on to the "Kew" library, as so much of it is devoted to "plant-distribution" as to which I have gathered some little known facts, and arrived at some rather [2] novel & I hope interesting conclusions.

I have to thank you for much valuable information & instruction in your writings dealing with evolution, and there is no living writer who has so thorough a grasp of the facts and principles of evolution as yourself.

I therefore venture to hope that you will find something in my new book to interest you; while your frank opinion on any of my conclusions & heresies will [3] be acceptable.

With best wishes for the coming festive season.

Believe me | yours very sincerely | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
