The Hamilton, Washington, D.C.
Jany 6th 1887
My dear Sir,
Your kind invitation to stay with you next week while I am lecturing has been forwarded to me here. I should have been glad to accept it but have already permitted to stay with my friend Mr Albert G. Browne.
I have requested that my Diagrams be sent from Poughkeepsie1, where I last used them, to the Societys Office, and I will myself call at the Hall on Tuesday morning and see them properly hung. Thanking you for your kind invitation.
Believe me | Yours faithfully | Alfred R Wallace [signature]
