I have the pleasure to inform you that at the General Monthly Meeting of the Royal Society of New South Wales held on the 3rd inst., it was unanimously resolved that you be elected an Honorary Member of this Society, in recognition of your distinguished services in the cause of Science and more particularly on account of the great work you have done in the department of Zoology and for your independent and original writings upon the origin of species by natural selection.
