Rock House,

Dec[ember]. 27th / [18]90

My dear Mrs. Wallace

Your beautiful inspiration came safely to me today, assuring me of your friendly remembrance. Most heartily I send on my good wishes for your "Happy New Year"; and when your improvements are really complete, I hope you will soon forget the serious discomfort [2] that produced them!

The only item of personal interest that I can report is my address on "Christianity in Medicine" which I gave last week to a London Society.

Sometime I shall print this careful statement of the basis of medical science, as I believe, and shall offer you a copy. Meanwhile with kindest remembrance to Mr. Wallace and your children.

Believe me | Very sincerely y[ou]rs | E. Blackwell[signature]
