James Keir Hardie Esq[uire] M.P.
Dear Sir
Will you be so good as to send me any prospectus or other publication giving particulars of the Independent Labour Party of which I believe you are President.
If — as I suppose — the organisation is for the purpose of furthering the direct representation of labour in Parliament, I would do what I could to support it, as I have always held that as the majority [2] of the nation are workers — & even manual workers — they should have a majority of the representatives in the House of Commons, & should never rest till they have got it.
If there is nothing else in your movement, or nothing that I could object to, I would urge the Land Nationalisation Society, of which I am President, to work with you in any way that may [3] be thought most advantageous.
An early reply will oblige.
Yours very faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
