Sir

I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letters of the 1st. & 4th Inst[ant]. informing me that the Council of the Society have elected me a fellow & remitted the usual fees.2

I beg you will communicate to the Council at their next meeting my high sense of the honour they have done me and return them my sincere thanks for their liberality.
