The Vice-Secretary of the Zool[ogical] Society
Dear Sir
I beg to thank you for your letter of yesterday giving me permission to have stereos of cuts of Quadrumana in the publications of the Society.
As I have not a set of the Proceedings by me I cannot ascertain what cuts will best suit my purpose till I can come to London, which may not be for some time, but there is [2] no immediate hurry.
Should you happen to know that there is a set of the Society’s publications at any library or museum at Bournemouth, Dorchester, or Southampton, or Salisbury, it would be a convenience to me if you could let me know, as I could then more easily make the list of species I require.
Yours very truly | Alfred R Wallace [signature]
