Friday morning
My dear Dr. Sclater1
I have not left my room since I was at the Meeting last Tuesday2 week or should have seen you before this. I hope I shall be well enough to come next Tuesday. Do you know any one who has skins of Paradiseas?3 I should like to borrow Epim[achus]. magnus,4 Astrap[ia]. nigra,5 P[aradisea]. sexsetacea6 & P[aradisea]. superba7 to complete [2] the set I think of exhibiting.
I should like much to see the Banjirmassing8 [sic?] bird & will call as soon as I can get out.
I shall hope to show you my novelties next week.
Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
