Sept.[embe]r 24th. 1887.

Dear Mr. Geddes

I have only recently returned from a ten months tour in America— lecturing & looking about— and find your letter of April last & papers among scores of others— not only have I not forgotten the very interesting talk I had with you I have mentioned your name & recommended the perusal of Enc. Britt. articles to several naturalists in America. Your papers are very interesting & suggestive & make me wish to read your fuller articles. If [2] you should haveing any spare copies if may of your Enc. Britt articles (wh.[ich] I fear is not likely) I should greatly value them.

I met Pap. Brookes at Baltimore who is working also at problems of variation & sex, as you know.

Believe me | Yours very faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
