Dear Dr. Norris1

I have not a spare copy of my "Miracles & Modern Spiritualism",2 but I send you by post one of my book on "Natural Selection".3 The last two chapters may perhaps interest you, and the notes and the end in which I display the cloven foot of Spiritualism. Please accept the book as a remembrance of my very pleasant visit to you and your amicable family.

I enclose a list of shrubs [2] and flowers which I add think would all grow in your garden & make it look pretty all the year round.

Please give them it to your eldest daughter as she seems to be head gardener in your establishment.

Believe me | yours very faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
