Frith Hill, Godalming
Feb[ruar]y 9th, 1883
Dear Dr. Norris
I have been asked to fill Dr. Romane's place to lecture for the Midland Institute on the 19th Ins[tan]t & have accepted. I therefore write to you with the freedom of a friend to ask you whether it will be quite convenient to Mrs. Norris & yourself to give me your kind hospitality for two or three days — or I want to lecture on my hobby — "Land Nationalisation" — as well. I have no doubt [2] I shall receive some other invitation, but I have so pleasant a recollection of my last visit to your house that I should prefer to have so good a reason for declining to go to a new place. Pray however do not scruple to say it will be inconvenient if it really is so.
Dr. Saundly[?] of the Birmingham Medical Review has been writing [3] to me about Land Nationalisation. I hope he is a friend of yours.
With kind remembrances to Mrs. Norris & your daughters
