Dear Sir:

Referring to your request of the 4th of September, we beg leave to enclose herewith our draft on Mr Sampson Low, London, for fifty pounds, as payment in advance & on account of royalty upon "Island Life". Please to advise us of the receipt of the draft.

We have not yet issued our edition of the book, [2] but expect to do so on the 10th of this month.
