The thoughtful kindness of Mr & Miss Wallace2,3 yesterday left me nothing to do but step into the train, & [2] changing at Poole for the first & last time, I had a swift and pleasant run home, i.e. to London.
I am very grateful indeed for your kindness in allowing me so long [3] an interview.4 As I thought last night of what he had said to me about the true and natural kind of society, & listened to babbling around me (such as one reads in the newspapers), I felt his utterances were [4] like the harmony of perfect music, & the common talk around like the noises in the street.
