You can hardly have been more disappointed than I was at the postponement of your article. It was only at the chamber house that I was compelled to keep it over for my January1 no:— in which — (for my own sake quite as much as for the author's) I have already definitely placed it –

Pray believe that nothing but necessicity has caused my delay & please do not let it prejudice my chances of other kind help from your hands.
