Dear Dr. Wallace
Mrs. Gray reminds me of what I should have said to you on Wednesday.
That we hope you will find it convenient to pass the night with us on Wednesday 17th.
We don’t dress for [2] our social club. Come in morning dress.
Take from Bowdoin Square — in part of the Revere [1 word illeg.], the [1 word illeg.] car labelled Mt. Auburn and Soden St.— and be dropped at Chauncy St. near us.
The quarter past [3] 7 is better as it will bring you in time for a quiet half hour or near it before our friends turn up, which they do most promptly at 8.
Sincerely Yours | Asa Gray1 [signature]
