My Dear Sir,

I found yr. letter1 of the 9th. inst. on my return from a holiday in the north on Saturday eveng. —

The best "sweeping [illeg.]" of Galapagos vegetation you will find I think in N. J. Andersson's2 Memoirs. — In the Linnaea, vol. XXXl. [2] (1861-62) p. 571.3 is a general essay upon it. His fuller memoir, with descriptions, plates &c. forms part of the Report on the Nat. Histy. of the [illeg.] "Eugeniès" expedition I am not quite sure if this were published separate[l]y or as part of the 4to Trans. of The Stockholm Acad: [3] I imagine the report in the "Linnaea" will answer yr. purpose.
