Dear Mr. Wallace.
I do hope if you can you will consent to take care of the Anthropology.
When your name was mentioned last year, the Anthropologist[?] expressed great satisfaction.
One has a great deal of trouble to get the three departments to [2] work well together — and it is now very desirable that the Department of Anthropology should have the President of Section belonging to them. It was their turn last year — & I think if possible they must have their innings this year. If you [3] will consent to be President of the whole Section with charge of Anthropology, the whole thing will I fancy work well. Otherwise I shall be a little in a difficulty as I have already been asking for a Vice President with charge of zoology and botany.
Can you drop [4] me a line by Monday to the Savile Club 15 Savile Road London.1
Ever yours truly | M. Foster [signature]
