Letter (WCP232.232)

Parkstone, Dorset

May 16th

Dear Violet

Yours just received. You do not say a word about your week’s work, — whether your class is in good order now, whether Miss Combe or anyone has been to see you in school time, — &c. &c. which is what we especially want to know & which is infinitely more interesting to us than tennis or Mr Lund’s sermons!

Please fill in at once what you think is value of the books. I have net marked and post the letter &c. they must be all filled up, or there [2] will be further difficulty. Also send me copy of the prices you put to each as they say I must send in a claim to the L. & S. W. railway, as they are responsible! I believe all the loss has arisen from the luggage label coming off — you sh[oul]d always write the address also on the parcel.
