Such a very handsome present as your work on the geographical distribution of Animals1 is really more than I could have expected, but I assure you that there is no one who will appreciate it and enjoy it more than I shall.

[2] It has only just come but I see already that its perusal will be a pleasure of no common kind, & that it will always remain an inexhaustible mine of reference.
