My dear Sir,
Mr. Harrison informs me of the interest with which you have examined his remarkable collection of paleolithic Flint Implements. As you may like to know something [2] of the geological evidence of the contiguity of the Plateau specimens I am sending you copies of my papers bearing on that question. There are still some weak points about it which I hope further research will clear [3] up. In the meantime many of my geological friends remain unconvinced. I brought the subject before the Anthropological Trust last June & got Mr. H. to add a short note in[?].
I hope the [?] will have it published with a significant amount of illustration [4] to give all the typical forms of the plateau implements. Figuring[?] 2 or 3 does not give a correct idea of their importance. The notion in the [?] Mag[azine]. which is not by me gives a fair abstract of the paper.
Hoping you are well.| I am very truly yours. |Joseph Prestwich [signature]1
