My Dear Sir:-

I send you now another box containing some young shoots of the Primula3, the seeds of which I sent you last year. I received them from my friend in the provi[n]ce of Aomori4, but I feel that they will not reach you safely, as the young shoots are already coming out. How were the shoots you[sic] sent you the last?[sic]

A genus of mainly herbaceous flowering plants in the family Primulaceae.
City and province at northernmost tip of the Japanese island of Honshu.
