Alfred Russel Wallace Esq[uire]. F R. S.2

My dear Sir

By today’s mail I send you copies of the Rel[igio]. Phil[osophical]. Journal3 of the 3 and 10th inst[ant]s containing an interesting account of a case of protracted spirit control. Col[onel]. Bundy4 of that Journal writes [to] me that he is well acquainted with the narrator and can vouch for both his intelligence and veracity and the account to me bears the earmarks of truthfulness. It is needless for me to draw the inferences as you are better qualified than myself to do this. I only hope [2] it may interest you as it does myself. Does it not throw light upon the question of the origin of the doctrine of reincarnation?

Very truly yours | Eugene Crowell5 [signature]
