As one of those who has for years been a reader of your works and rejoiced in what you have done for mankind, I wish to thank you for your article in the Religio-Philosophical Journal sent me by my friend, Mrs. Bundy, and just read. I recently heart Sir Robert Ball lecture on invisible stars, and he made some statements concerning what the "photographic eye" is capable of bringing into our view that caused me to wonder if "some time" photography would not become the handmaid of psychical study. I am writing to Mr. Traill Taylor whom you mention.

Pardon me for sending you a copy of my annual address which I was not able to return to America to deliver before the World's Women's Christian Temperance Union, but which Lady Henry Somerset will read in part. We are both interested in the study of psychical phenomena, and grateful admirers of the work you have wrought in the world.
