For many years past I have felt a deep sympathy with the Peers and of every nation and although same debarred by my profession from taking any active part [2] in politics. My best wishes go with those who are striving to change a system of land tenure which is, I believe, the most powerful agent for the triumph of injustice that this world has ever seen.
