Dear Sir,

I have sent your letter5 up to the printers, and hope presently to publish it, with the degree of prominence to which your name and reputation entitle it. But it may, through the pressure of more urgent though not more important matter, be delayed for a little time.

Faithfully yours | Frank H Hill [signature]

Alfred R Wallace Esq[uire].

Text in another hand in the top right corner reads "93".
The Daily News was the Liberal Party's chief newspaper, founded in 1846 by Charles Dickens.
The date is written on the same line as the word "London", and sits on a dotted printed line.
The first two digits of the year "18" are printed. The final digit has been amended to read "5", probably from "4".
This is possibly the short essay printed on page 5 of the 19 January Daily News, Church Funds: How to Use Them. S374a:1885.
