Dear Sir,
Permit me to take your attention to the accompanying circulars.
I must have your honoured name in my books as one of the Pioneers — whose place[s] — now — there are none to fill.
Not for what the cause is at present but for what it has been & will be again [2] I am preparing this book & now simply wish to know if there are any notes of your early expeditions[?] with which you could & would favour me.
Anything sent by you will be highly appreciated.
I am [1 word illeg.] faithfully | Emma H. Britten [signature]1
