Dr. Alfred Russell [sic] Wallace,

Parkstone, Dorset, England.

My Dear Doctor:

I last evening read your first paper, "Dealing with the Farmer".2 It is the most admirable essay that I have yet read on the subject, and cannot fail to do an immense amount of good.

I yesterday sent you [an] International Post Office order for $200, which I trust will be promptly received. The orders were sent by registered mail.

Wishing you a prosperous and happy year, I remain,

Cordially yours, | B. O. Flower.

The letter is type-written, including the sender's signature, on the company's printed headed paper, which also contains these details: "THE ARENA. B.O. FLOWER, EDITOR." and "PER ANNUM $ 5 SINGLE COPIES 50 CENTS".
This probably refers to ARW’s views on land nationalisation. He believed that rural land should be owned by the state and leased to people who would work the land for the common good, thus breaking the power of wealthy landowners. He wrote the article How to Nationalise the Land in 1880 and the ideas were later set out in his book (1892) Land Nationalisation; Its Necessity and Its Aims, Swan Sonnenschein & Co., London.
