My dear Sir

Very many thanks for your letter, Enclosure, and the trouble you have taken to correct and improve text. I fear that a large part is already started as I know the printer now shut of[f] type for the whole, but I will make what correction I can, and [2] will take care to embody[?] the other in the next complete edition. I will also pan[?] on your suggestion on the title & pun[?] [illeg], in particular[?].

While[?] your suggestion is in allu[illeg] of text I agree, ie I know the uselessness[?] of fancy goods, most toys & jewellery, but we cannot [3] change all peoples luck[?] at once.

With regard to the "ten to twelve hours" available after 4 hours work.

It of course depends upon the point of view — when I was a young man I worked 12 1/2 hours a day & had the 4 hours for recreation[?] & study. I know many who have done that. So 4 hours work & 12 hours for optional study seems to many luxury. Still 8 to 10 would perhaps be better. [4] The same numbers apply to six hours work for [illeg] student. I don't really think it is too much especially when the work bears some relation to the study as it may do.

I don't think I ought to [illeg.] omit the paragraph about what would happen after 21 the question is sure to be asked & it is hard[?] to face it.

The print is a cheap pamphlet for educational, propaganda work among the workers. I will have[?] here[?] some on better paper & covers. Though for reference the entire book is red[?]. [3 words illeg]

I remain | Faithfully | [signature illeg.]
