Dear Dr. Wallace,

On January 5, 1904, the Vorwärts gave a translation of your noble words, originally addressed to the Berlin "Local= AnHeiger" and finally printed by the "Clarion". The Berlin Socialists and Trade Unionists read them and about 40 Socialist papers of Germany reprinted them from the "Vorwärts". And now they want more.

The "Vorwärts" is preparing a 1. main number and wants me to ask you for a short article. German Social-democracy will be very grateful to you for a few words of encouragements and guidance in their very hard struggle for a nobler concept of life. — Final term: April 26.

Address: Redaction des "Vorwärts"

Lindenstr 69

Berlin SW. 69

With sincerest respect | M Beer [signature]
