Parkstone, Dorset
April 4th. 1897
My dear Violet1
I send you now Will’s2 2nd letter which please send on to Hurst — to be returned to me. You will see that the air of Boston agrees with them though there is no work yet.
I send you a "Brotherhood" containing a good bit of Peter Halkelt — which is fine — also an interview with Christ, which is also fine & just what [2] he would probably say.
We are waiting for fine weather to get rid of my cough & go for walks. I dare not go out [in] this cold damp weather.
The doings of our Admiral in Crete are enough to make one sick, wild, & mad!
In haste | no news | Your affectionate Pa | Alfred R Wallace [signature]
