Dear Sir,
The cuttings, for which you ask, will be sent to you in spring as now it is likely that they would arrive frozen.
Please, accept my best thanks for the seeds of the Caesalpinia pulcherrima. I am sorry not to be able to name the plant from Montevideo by the fruit only. I shall try to grow the seeds, I wonder what it can be.
If you will be so kind as to spare us a few Tasmanian seeds, I shall feel greatly obliged to you. There may be many good things, if I can get our gardener to grow them; but there lies generally the difficulty.
