Dear Dr Wallace,

I am very grateful indeed to you for the kind thought which suggested the communication of Dr Spence’s3 notes on the vegetation made during the voyage up the Partaga[?]4 and Bomlouasa[?]5. The notes are much too good to be lost and will form an entirely interesting communication. We shall have them published forthwith

With very kind regards | Yours sincerely | D. Prain [signature]
