Sir,

In 1895 I stumbled upon the key of Interpretation of the anthropomorphic system known as the Mythology of the old Greeks in which they veiled their moral & physical philosophy — & I soon found that I had penetrated the jealously kept [2] mysteries of Demeter & was thus able to learn the most[?] meaning if their Epic cycle literature.

In this way I learnt the past history of the Earth & the significance of the fall of Phaethon — when this Earth coalesced with the Planet around which it was revolving & its crust was split apart & the waters of both planets [3]3 subsided into the spaces between the ruptured crust, which event is recorded in the deluge tradition of the Hebrews.

It is obvious that the coast of S. America fits with the West Coast of Africa — to anyone studying a globe & Messr. Malby placed at my disposal a set of gores[?] of their 36" Globe so that I might try the possibility of fitting the crust together again. [4] They were not quite accurate but I succeeded far beyond my expectations.

When Admiral Wharton testified to the accuracy of the present Hydrophobic charts at the Relief Assn in 1905 — I determined to make use of them and Rr. Potter the Admiralty chart agent kindly placed a complete set of the latest charts at my disposal[.]

These I reduced with the accuracy to the scale [5]4 of the 36 in globe so that I might have all parts to equal scale & I then succeeded (after a long study of the affinities of the present fauna & flora & the geological formations where known) in my Herculean task & have now fitted together the various parts of the Crust by means of my reductions — these keyed in together with faultless accuracy & give the complete solution of the [6] problem of the distribution of Animals which you have made such a life study of, and I thought you might like to see my results.

If so I would run up by train to Broadstone any day after Thursday you might fie[?] upon.

I am Sir, | yours with sincere respect & gratitude for the aid your books have given me | Clement Millard5[signature]
