Dear Sir

I beg to thank you very much for your kind reply of 5th inst. & have much pleasure in enclosing you herewith four photographs of my drawings illustrating the true theory of the Earth.

They are really the solution of the old folk lore riddle of Humpty-Dumpty — which was [2] well known to the Ancients but the secret was jealously guarded under the Mysteries of Demeter i.e — 'Mother Earth' and "Mother Wit" — which are the real meanings of this figure or anthropomorph in the ^double allegory of the Mythology.

Both the voyage of the Argonauts and the figures of the Zodiac were invented to record the various phenomena incidental to this. Fall of Phaethon is the planet around which the earth was revolving. ^{The latter} commence with Aries the symbol of Impact [3]² from its characteristic habit of butting and ending with the fishes which was the ancient symbol of 'Increase' between these two are figures representing assonances ^after the usual method adopted in the mythology all except Aquarius with his southern fish which represents the great increase of water brought by Phaethon — thus Scorpio suns upon σκορπιςω — to disperse Tauros suns upon Tartaros Ταρτάρος the great abyss in which Phaethon was engulphed. Gemini suns upon γάμος — the consummation of marriage or "union" between the two bodies. In the Egyption zodiac this [4] is represented by a man taking the hand of a woman — & so on — I have found out the meaning of nearly all the constellations & ^of the most of the principal figures in the mythology. Thus Europa is Translation carried away on the Bull or Tartaros of the Mediterranean Basin. & her children are Minos = Understanding Rhadamanthos = Common sense, ie of the two languages. Phoenix = the right sense or Correctness.

As regards the drawings there is the completest scientific evidence for all that is shown upon them so far as the geological outcrops [5]³ are known as well as ^regards the relationship of fauna & flora & I have the utmost confidence in submitting it ^{the drawings} to you & feel sure they will well repay your careful investigation.

As I assured you in my former letter I have discovered the key to the allegory of the greek mythology in which they veiled their moral and Physical science & there is the surest historical evidence [6] for the facts upon which I based this Restoration.

Thus the recorded phenomenon of the Sun standing still ^has a perfectly simple solution — for as the crust of the Earth was dispersing some moving contrary to its direction of revolution would naturally make ^{the sun} appear to retrograde or stand still — but this recurred at the ^later Coalescence with Hesperus in 1322 B.C.

Indeed the Precession was then permanently set back 10 degrees. [7]⁴ The Atreus of the greek mythos & the Hezekiah of the Hebrew mythos are synonyms — ie. Custom whilst Thyestes is the same as Ahaz (or αχας) = Credit or Backsliding and Atreus cooks the accounts or "offspring" of credit whereof the suns stands aghast. Both the greek & Hebrew mythos has a perfectly rational interpretation & the Septuagint preserves most of the assonances.
