Dear Sir, through the kindness of Mr. James Burns1, I transmit to you my last work "The Arcana of Spritualism"2, and hope you will be pleased with the manner in which I have treated therein the great subject to which it is devoted.

I have just finished reading your work "On Natural Selection"3 with deep interest, the vast generalization it develops is a never failing source of thought.
