I have taken out the enclosed figures from the set of Bills of Mortality in the British Museum. I do not know how it happened that I omitted them in my book
Whooping-cough holds a somewhat peculiar place among the so-called Zynotic Diseases. As a cause of death after now very [2] prominent (of course for infancy only), owing to the pre[illeg.] for other causes. But this is an [3 words illeg.] which may not perhaps come into the [1 word illeg.] of your inquiry.
