My dear Violet
I now send you my vaccination book. When you & Miss Mcdonald have read it, you can give it [to] someone or lend it. I also send Will’s1 last letter. He seems quite jolly & contented.
To send your books you had better see the size box you want & then get a strong packing case from a grocer & ironmonger and pack them in carefully & tight — covering all the best [2] with newspapers, and if they lid does not nail on very tight have a good strong rope twice round the middle. Send it by goods train, by Midland rail.
I have now just finished my Century Book but have trouble to get some of the poetical headings. I have asked Mr. Mott2 to write some for me. I hope to begin printing it next week. [3] Now you would prefer a holiday I dare say the London school will want you in April!
