Honoured Sir,

M^r M^cCormick had the kindness to send me your address. Your excellent book Vaccination a Delusion is most useful to is in the combat against this tremendous numbing[?] to which annually hundreds of valuable lives are sacrificed in all so called civilised countries. Whoever has read you clear exposition of the case and is not convinced must be either a blockhead or a scoundrel. In the beginning of March we shall have a big anti-vaccination-meeting at Munich, where I shall give some specimens from your book and with your kind permission exhibit some of your diagrams about ten times enlarged. Shall you allow me to publish an extract or is your book already translated into German? I should be very happy to get your photograph and a line or two.
