My dear Sir
Many thanks for your note1 received this morning. I will read your paper in the Contemporary Review2 when I lay hands on it. The subject you open is a large one, and one that has never presented itself to my mind except [2] on a modified scale and under different & special circumstances in India. It would require much thought before getting a clear grasp of it.
Believe me | very faithfully yours | Arthur Hobhouse3 [signature]
