A.R. Wallace, Esq.

Dear Sir,

I beg to thank you for your offer of books as per enclosed list.

As I have bought recently as much stock as I desire, I am sorry to have to decline your offer.

But if you think well to allow me to insert the titles in my Catalogues and send to you for the books as I receive orders, I shall be pleased to do so. In that case I should want the exact titles with the lowest prices affixed to each, subject to my commission of 15% on sales.

It would save you the trouble of [2] cataloguing &c. if the books were sent to me on sale, besides increasing the chance of selling. I would then remit you monthly the amount of sales.

If this would suit you, you would realise much better prices than by selling them off at once in one lot.

Yours very respectfully | Wm Wesley [signature]
