May I ask you to do me the honour of coming to take a homely dinner [w]ith me here on the 14th inst. Wednesday next at 6.30?

Mr. Meldola says if you can come, he will [3]4 be delighted to give you a bed.

The trains to Dulwich are as follows:

from Victoria to Herne Hill 5. or 5.32.

from London Bridge to North Dulwich, close by, 5.21. or 6.3.

I do hope you will be able [4] to say ‘Yes’.

If you can, please send a card to Meldola at the same time. Please also say whether you come by Herne Hill or North Dulwich and by what train.
