Dear Mr. Wallace,

I cannot refrain from sending you my first published Volume of Poems in token of my admiration. May it find as warm a welcome as "The Heather on Fire" which I had the pleasure of sending you three years ago, when you were kind enough to say [2] you would be glad to see me any time I might be able to call. To my great regret I never found time to call then, but I think it very likely that I shall be at Godalming or in the neighbourhood a four weeks hence if I might then come & see you.

Believe me | Yours faithfully | Mathilde Blind [signature]
