London County Council1
Dear Sir,
I fear some misunderstanding must have existed between [?] Saunders & myself. He handed me your letter in November but I understood that it was merely a copy of a letter of which the original was to be sent in proper form to the Clerk of the Council. I therefore merely used it for my own private information and for the information of [2] the Parks Committee.[1 word illeg. crossed out] I presented it to the committee and at the time when we were considering the revised places of the Park and we appreciated and acted upon its very valuable suggestions. We have resolved to leave the wall standing to restrict as much as possible the number of paths and to retain the present character of the Park.
If you wish to have your letter back I will certainly send it to you but as we are still carrying out the works at the Park I shall it is still useful to me and I shall [?] it a favour if I may keep it.
Believe me | Yours truly | W. H. Dickinson [signature]
