Telegrams "Vatican London."
Dear Mr Wallace,
I send you herewith a copy of my Christmas Number. We limited the edition to 100,000 copies; otherwise, I think we should have sold well on to double that number. In order to meet the demand that is thus created, I propose to publish a New Year's Number, following up the subject, and in this I shall have to deal with the Spirit Photographs and other matter, but I do not think I shall go into Spiritualism, properly so-called. In any case, I shall hope to quote from your writings, and publish the portrait which you were good enough to send me.
I am | Yours truly | W. J. Stead [signature]
Ghost forwarded.
