My dear Sir,
I have some very uncertain recollection of a letter addressed to Mr. Burrows coming here, & of returning it to the postman, as it never occurred to me that it was for my friend Herbert Burrows. You see before we came to this home in the east-end, it was inhabited by a good many migratory people, & letters for strangers are not therefore frequently brought here.
Would it not be well to stop payment of the cheque at your Bank? I will inform Burrows of the Circumstance.
Permit me to express the great pleasure I feel in finding you are in direct sympathy with the difinili[?] Socialist movement.
Faithfully yours, | John Kenworthy[signature]
