Dear Dr Russell[sic] Wallace

Having read with great interest & profit your recent article in the "Fortnightly" I noticed noticed that you were once more associated with Tolstoy in the same journal.

In my little sanctum I have the photos of many seminal men, seiminal for the reason that they have helped me upward & onward — I fee inclined to put "Godward"; but your is not among the number as it should be. I have a double frame one side contains Tolstoy, the other awaits your own photographic representation.

In these days one is apt to get discouraged at the prospect before mankind with its awful tendencies toward militarism & coercion, & in such times one likes to glance occasionally at the faces of those who are on the side of the Angels, the present day representatives of the ancient Nephilim — half man — half God, the product in the flesh of the daughters of earth but on the other side of the Sons of God.

I am well aware that it requires a large purse to satisfy such requests as these therefore I beg respectfully to tell you that I shall be glad to bear the Expense. I have thought much of your conversation with me during my last visit. May you be long spared to us in this sphere.

Yours respectfully | Frank Thompson [signature]

"Have you seen that remarkable article on "Mathematics & Theology" in Hibbert Journal for January by Cassius J Keyser? I would be glad to have your opinion as I am a bit weak in Mathematics, but I feel instinctively that it is powerful. Forgive me if I am too bold. H[?]T".
