Perene
October 29th. 1909
Dear Sir,
The Rev. Mr. Moss has written to inform me that he received a letter from you, in which you wish to know if any resident of the Perene would take in a young friend of yours, who is desir(i)ous of coming out for a years insect hunting, as boarder, or give him a house in which he could manage for himself.
Please tell your friend to come right along. I will be pleased either to have him as a boarder, or should he prefer it, give him quarters where he will be completely independent. Any friend of the Great Sir Alfred Russell Wallace may be always sure of a hearty welcome from.
Yours sincerely, | J A. Furlong [signature]
