Waldron Edge, Duppas Hill, Croydon

May 19th. 1878

Dear Mr. Macmillan1

I have to be in town tomorrow (Monday) at a meeting of Examiners at S. Kensington at 10 am. & shall probably be free about 12 or 1. As I shall be fully occupied for the next fortnight with Ex[amine]r. papers this is the only day I could meet Mr. Palgrave I will therefore call on you about 1 or 1 to 2 — if possible, on the chance that you may be able [2] to let him know in time for him to come.

Yours very faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
